Baton Rouge Restaurant - JED's Local - 70806!

I had the chance to eat at the newly re-imagined JED's Local on Monday night and man was it great! The restaurant recently re-opened after an interior remodel and a menu revamp. I really enjoyed JED's pre-renovation and was excited to see what changes had been made.

The interior is very inviting and the menu contains many original items plus several new entree items. The dish pictured above is a smothered chicken dish served with popcorn rice and french bread - I literally licked the bowl when I was finished:)

JED's Local is located in the heart of Mid-City Baton Rouge on Jefferson Highway just south of Government. It's in a retail center loaded up with all sorts of unique and classic Baton Rouge businesses. It's totally worth your time to go eat and then walk the center and visit some of the other shops.

The dish noted above is the Roast Beef & Gravy po-boy and it was as good as it looks. I'll be taking my Dad to JED's so we can split one of these bad boys!
